Revision dated 23 August 2026.

1. General provisions

1.1. This Privacy Policy is prepared in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006, “On Personal Data”, and describes how data is processed when a person visits en.catoblepaspress.ru or submits an order request through the website.

1.2. The personal data operator is Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Spiridonov.

1.3. Questions about personal data processing may be sent to mail@catoblepaspress.ru. The former address catoblepaspress@mail.ru also remains available during the transition.

2. Data processed

2.1. When an order request for a book is submitted, the Operator receives:

  • the applicant’s email address;
  • the selected edition: print or digital.

2.2. The website uses Plausible Analytics to measure aggregate traffic. According to Plausible’s Data Policy, it does not use cookies or persistent identifiers and does not store personal data that can identify an individual visitor. Plausible records the visited page, referral source, browser, operating system, device type, and approximate location. Raw IP addresses and full User-Agent strings are not stored.

2.3. Embedded material from Google and Telegram may connect to those services and process technical information under their own terms and privacy policies.

2.4. The order form does not request special categories of personal data or biometric data.

3.1. The email address and selected edition are processed in order to:

  • accept and record an order request;
  • record preliminary interest in the publication;
  • notify the applicant when the required number of requests has been reached;
  • provide the terms for subsequently purchasing the book;
  • where necessary, pass the request to the book’s author, Marusya Navka, who operates as a self-employed person, so that she can contact the applicant and arrange payment, printing, and delivery.

3.2. Aggregate analytics are used to understand which material is read and which pages lead visitors to an order, subscription, or meeting.

3.3. Personal data submitted through the order form is processed on the basis of the data subject’s consent. Actions directed toward entering into a contract at the applicant’s request may also rely on Article 6(1)(5) of Federal Law No. 152-FZ.

3.4. Submitting the form does not require payment and does not by itself create a sale contract.

4. Processing operations

4.1. The Operator may collect, record, organize, accumulate, store, update, retrieve, use, provide, block, delete, and destroy personal data, with or without automated means.

4.2. The Operator does not distribute personal data to an indefinite group of persons and does not sell it.

4.3. Access is limited to what is necessary for the purposes stated in this Policy.

5. Storage and services

5.1. Order requests are stored in Google Forms and connected Google Sheets. Messages to applicants may be stored in the Operator’s email account.

5.2. Google and Plausible process information under their own terms and policies. The use of Google Forms and Google Sheets may involve a cross-border transfer of personal data.

5.3. The Operator must comply with the localization and cross-border transfer requirements established by Russian law.

5.4. An order request is retained for one year from submission, or until consent is withdrawn or processing is no longer necessary, whichever occurs first. The data is then deleted or anonymized unless a different retention period is required by law.

6. Transfer to the author

6.1. Once the required number of requests has been reached, the applicant’s email address and selected edition may be passed to Marusya Navka solely to contact the applicant and arrange the subsequent sale of the book.

6.2. The author communicates the terms of payment, production, shipping, or collection directly and is responsible for processing the information she receives within her own activity.

7. User rights

7.1. A user may request information about the processing of their personal data, require correction, blocking, or deletion, and withdraw consent.

7.2. Requests should be sent to mail@catoblepaspress.ru with the subject “Personal Data”. The Operator may request information needed to verify the requester’s identity.

7.3. After receiving a withdrawal, the Operator stops processing and destroys the data within the periods required by law unless another legal ground permits continued processing.

7.4. A user may submit a complaint to Roskomnadzor or a court.

8. Data protection

8.1. The Operator takes the legal, organizational, and technical measures necessary to protect personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, blocking, copying, provision, deletion, or other unlawful action.

8.2. If unlawful processing is discovered, the Operator takes the measures required by Russian law.

9. Final provisions

9.1. This Policy remains in force until it is replaced by a new revision.

9.2. The current version is permanently available at en.catoblepaspress.ru/documents/privacy.
